We’ve made a proposal to spread our wings with service across North America. From our base at Toronto City Airport, we’d like to fly to places such as Vancouver, Calgary, Los Angeles, Florida, and the Caribbean. In a survey of our supporters, Vancouver was actually the number one choice as the new destination they would like us to fly to if we’re allowed to do this. This will be done using new state-of-the-art Bombardier CS100 aircraft, ideally beginning in 2016 if all of the required approvals are secured. Our passengers have asked for an expanded service that will provide competition and lower fares along with a refined level of service.

Certainly, child care and family time are important issues as well as the fact that there’s a pressure-filled atmosphere in politics sometimes. But just make that decision and say, “I can make a difference,”—this is a piece of advice I would always give to women who are considering getting into politics."

People want steady jobs, and they want to feel safe in their communities. Another related major issue we have to address is the high unemployment level among youth. "

“I think we can draw lessons from our own experience in China to improve our position in that market, and I think other companies can draw some lessons as well. With China, I think you have to take a long-term view. That may sound clichéd, but I think it’s critical to having success in China.”
